  1. I like the quotes. I know that the best investment you can make is in yourself. Look at how many people are going back to school these days. I would like to think its because of those early childhood years that the value of education was instilled in us. I agree with President Johnson!
And Renatta Cooper, i understand where shes coming from because i need to learn alot of things about this profession as well.....we are serving children as well as their families and its important to "learn" how to do so in an appropriate manner so that we can get the optimal support from these families.
    Good job.

  2. "Investing in children"--will save money and services down the road. I pretend as if I am teaching potential doctors and lawyers everyday. we are teaching the generation that will take care of us!

  3. I also have to agree with Angela, "Investing in children now will save money and costly services down the road." Increasing funds in early childhood education reduces crime rate and later incarceration not to mention less dependent people on government programs, and increases graduation rate. Here's some more info I found on investing in early learning.
Investing in the early years makes sense. Investing in the early years — beginning at birth and even before, and focusing first on those children and families who face the greatest risks — is a responsible way to shift the odds so more children will grow up eager to learn, ready for school and inspired with hope. Investing in the early years pays great dividends — and is also just the right thing to do. After all, the great American promise of equal opportunity is a promise worth keeping.
